Sebastian Petroll is an NRHA Professional, accomplished horse trainer, and respected industry leader with over 25 years of experience. Originally from Germany, Sebastian has built an international reputation for excellence, earning the honor of NRHA Professional of the Year, as voted by his peers. He has made the Open Finals at every major reining event, captured numerous championships, and claimed the NRHA Level 3 and Level 2 Open Futurity Championships while also being a Level 4 Finalist in Oklahoma City. A World Champion and NRHA Top 20 Rider, Sebastian is known for his unmatched versatility in every aspect of the industry—from breeding and starting colts to buying, selling, coaching, and competing at the sport’s highest level.

Beyond the show pen, Sebastian has dedicated years of service to the reining community. He has served on multiple NRHA committees, including the Judges Committee and the Executive Committee, and is a former member of the NRHA Board of Directors. As both a businessman and an NRHA Judge, Sebastian combines sharp strategic insight with a deep commitment to horsemanship, guiding horses and riders to success in futurities, derbies, and beyond. 

Melanie Petroll an NRHA professional, horse trainer and co-owner of Petroll Reining Horses, brings over 25+years  of hands-on expertise to the arena. With a career spanning every facet of the industry—from breeding and colt starting to elite-level coaching and competition—Melanie has built a reputation for excellence, integrity, and passion.

Her experience includes working alongside some of the most respected leaders in the sport, honing a skill set that combines technical mastery with a deep understanding of each horse’s unique needs. An NRHA Judge, multiple-time champion, and proud mom, she approaches every client and horse with dedication and a personalized touch.

Her competitive accomplishments include multiple aged event finalist, with her most recent highlight being a finalist in the prestigious Open Level 4 NRHA Derby in Oklahoma City. Whether in the show pen or at home in the barn, Melanie’s mission remains the same: to develop top-quality horses, support her clients’ goals, and champion the sport of reining at every level.

Petroll Reining Horses LLC offers a full line of reproductive Services. Anything from regular Pregnancies, Embryo transfers, ICSI to recipient mare management can be handled at our facility. Mares and their offspring can stay at one of our North Texas Ranches and grow up under ideal conditions.
