At Petroll Reining Horses LLC, we focus on training and showing elite Open and Non Pro horses. We strive to train and manage every horse to their full potential while prioritizing the longevity of the equine athlete. Come and see us at our Ranch in Whitesboro, TX or any major event!
About us
Petroll Reining Horses LLC was founded in 2011. The team now manages 2 Ranches in the heart of Horse country and prides itself in being a "one-stop" shop for everything Reining.
Sebastian moved to the US from Germany in 2001 to pursue his Reining carrier. He has been a L4 finalist at every major event, world champion, and 2020 NRHA Intermediate Open Futurity Champion and Top Twenty Rider. He is a NRHA Judge and Steward and was voted NRHA Professional of the year by his peers. Outside the show arena he has served on several committees for NRHA and currently serves on the Executive Committee and the judges Committee.
Melanie, a native of Houston, TX grew up showing in the AQHA all around classes. She turned her passion into a profession in her early twenties. She has clinched several championships and recently made the L4 Open finals at the NRHA Derby. Melanie also holds an NRHA judges card.
Clinics
Sebastian travels all over the world to hold clinics. We also offer “at home clinics”. You can bring your horse, stay at our facility and let Sebastian and Melanie take your equine endeavors to the next Level.
Coaching
Combined Melanie and Sebastian have almost 50 years of combined experience teaching and advancing riders of any age. They have coached countless Non Pros to Futurity, Derby, Affiliate and world championships. They have taken several riders from $0 in lifetime earnings to $100,000+.

We offer a wide variety of horses for sale at all times. Looking to sell a Reining horse or prospect? We accept consignment horses and design an appropriate marketing package for each individual. Looking for the right horse? We will help you to find it. Wether it is an open horse, broodmare, non pro horse or promising prospect, our contacts and connections have no limits.
Prospect development
You get to start a young horse only once. Getting it right the first time is extremely important. Hundreds of Prospects have started their career at Petroll Reining Horses LLC. We take pride in our colt starting program.
Reproductive Services
Petroll Reining Horses LLC offers a full line of reproductive Services. Anything from regular Pregnancies, Embryo transfers, ICSI to recipient mare management can be handled at our facility. Mares and their offspring can stay at one of our North Texas Ranches and grow up under ideal conditions.
